Our training centre in Derby offers a full range of courses including:

  • IPAF training

We have fully equipped training facilities and our instructors are friendly and informative and will ensure that you are competent, safe and ready to work when you receive your forklift licence or other qualification. We also have courses at our Nottingham training centre in case of over-subscription.

How to find us

Based in Ilkeston on the Manners Industrial Estate, our facility is handy for those travelling from Derby, Nottingham and the Alfreton/Ripley area to complete their FLT training and other courses.

If you are travelling from Derby we are easily reached via either:

  • A52 – A6096 through Spondon
  • A61 – A608 – A609 through Morely and West Hallam

Visitors from the North (Alfreton, Mansfield and Ripley) can get to us via the A610 through Giltbrook, either leaving the M1 at Nuthall or on the A610 through Ripley and Eastwood/Langley Mill.

Why train in Derby?

The historic city of Derby is an ideal place to undertake your IPAF, PASMA and FLT Training. It has great entertainment on at the Assembly Rooms, a huge creative space with an open air cinema, art gallery and places to eat and drink. Sports fans can also visit Pride Park, home of Derby County F.C. or the Derbyshire County Cricket club, both are just outside the City Centre. There are some lovely parks and recreational grounds at Markeaton Park and Darley Park, or you can visit the historic Silk Mills, Museum and St Mary’s Cathedral. So if you are visiting for a few days to take your training, you won’t be short of anything to do between sessions!
